I haven’t lived, till I understand, the inheritance of the Meek
How vain of me, my Lord, to think I could do, do without you
I look out in the world and see the signs, with the very eyeballs, you gave to me
I see the earth and the sky, body and soul, distinct, but work together in union;
– Just as we have two eyes that make one vision.
I see the man and the woman, inside and out, that together make life happen, and fill heaven
How vain of me, my Lord, to think I could do, do without you.
Gravity is nothing more than the attractive force of love that causes bodies to come together
I see the earth spinning around the sun, a free ride, on your divine finger
My heart beats, my lungs breath, my voice sings, and my cup, is filled from within.
Can I make a flower, not in the least, can I make a life, I don’t even know where to begin
There is a cosmic heart-beat, a cosmic breath, that keeps us in your body
How vain of me, my Lord, to think I could do without, do without you
I haven’t lived, till I understand, the inheritance of the Meek
